AutoCad, CNC Machines, Molds, etc.
Many inventors spend too much at this stage for prototypes or a short production run. Experience tells us that 95% of prototypes can be made at a modest cost. Initially there is no need to spend money on molds, AutoCad drawings or other suggestions that manufacturers will tell you are necessary in order to run their machinery or CNC machine. This may be necessary later on, but at this stage it is often money wasted. We can help you build inexpensive prototypes or have a short production done to test your product or satisfy initial interest.
Engineering help
For the 5% where an engineer or some type of mold may be necessary we can help by mapping out costs and strategizing before anything is undertaken or money spent.
Some of the engineering services we offer:
- Costs of molds and types of molds needed (blow mold or injection molding, for example)
- Quick prototyping
- Short production runs
- Overseas manufacturing if you have no choice (see FAQs no. 13 )
- Product Design (including 3D when a prototype is initially too costly)
- Engineering assistance through conference calls if distance is too far
